About the Event

This event will be the bomb, the YARN BOMB, that is!

For the 48th annual Art in the Park, entitled , the theme revolves around yarn bombing, also known as yarn storming, guerrilla knitting, urban crocheting, or graffiti knitting. It  is a form of street art made by covering objects in public space with colorful knitted or crocheted patches. The intent behind it, is to add color and warmth to otherwise cold, dark settings, evoke thought, and draw attention to the unseen.A Closely KNIT Community

The Winfield Arts & Humanities Council wants to inspire the community to be more engaged with events, not only because they are planned and produced for everyone to enjoy, but to give a sense of ownership and belonging. So let's emulate the title of our event by collaborating, with your friends and neighbors, on how to YARN the town red, or simply join us for Art…
